About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details a project to replace the fire alarm system at the D.C. Booth National Fish Hatchery's Administration and Archives Building in Spearfish, South Dakota. The primary scope involves replacing the existing 30-year-old fire suppression system, including the Fire Panel, Annunciator, Smoke Detectors, Notification Devices, and adding monitor modules to monitor dry systems. The project is urgent due to the system's obsolescence and frequent false alarms, with the critical purpose of protecting building occupants and historical archive items.

The contractor must be licensed and certified in South Dakota for fire suppression system replacement, follow all federal, state, and county regulations, and complete the work during normal duty hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Project deliverables include procuring all necessary components and creating schematic drawings for the installation and operation of the new fire alarm system. The government will provide restrooms, electricity, and water, and final acceptance is contingent upon a designated U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service representative determining the work to be acceptable and in good working order. The technical coordinator is April C. Gregory, Curator of Collections and Exhibitions, with Kristopher Johnson as the secondary contact.
