Question and Answer Set Six 140F0918R0014
1. Are there specific application Security controls that must be documented? Would the contractual relationship between USFWS and the vendor extend FISMA compliance requirements to the vendor?
Yes, if the software has not been previously authorized to operate within DOI, it will need to undergo security review before going live – the controls documented will be thorough on the fronts of administration, threat aversion, and disaster recovery among other areas. The requirements of FISMA will need to be met.
2. Block 20 of SF 1449 indicates a delivery date of 01/31/2018 and a Period of
Performance of 06/01/2018 to 05/31/2019. Please confirm delivery date or provide new date.
Please disregard delivery date of 01/31/2018. The Period of Performance is 06/01/2018 to 05/31/2019.
3. Do you have a detailed spec sheet of the local server that your current DAM resides on that you can share so that we can get a better understanding of the software requirements?
We currently host our assets in software called CONTENTdm as a band-aid solution until a new, enhanced DAM can be purchased. At that time, all files will be migrated from CONTENTdm into the new system. The future state system (w/ new vendor solution) will be housed on a Windows 2016 server and we'll rely on best practices to administer based on the software awarded.
4. On the Q&A sets that were posted one stated that travel would only be required once and then on another question set it mentioned multiple trips. Do you have any specifics on the actual amount of travel that will be required?
A maximum of one trip will be required.
5. Will there be an option to adjust travel costs once the contract is awarded if more travel is required than initially scoped?
No, additional travel will not be required.
6. “Support for rich media assets including photos, music, videos, animations, podcasts and other multimedia content “- does “animations” refer to javascript animations, animated gifs, or those plus possibly other things?
Yes – we don't currently have rich media files, but would like to manage them in the future - including java applets (.js and .min.js) and gifs as well as compressed and uncompressed video (.mp4).
7. Can we get a sense for how many stakeholders would be involved?
Thousands of stakeholders will use/be affected by this system.
