Site Visit Information/Questions Provided to Vendors:
A site visit was hosted on Tuesday, July 19. The following questions were posed by the vendors present.
1. What is the square footage of the building?
Approximately 16,000 square feet.
2. What is expected regarding cleaning of the floors? Is periodic deep cleaning expected and if so, by what methods?
Sweep and damp mop hard floors daily. Strip and wax hard floors semi‐annually. Clean carpets daily. Shampoo carpets semi‐annually.
3. What is expected regarding cleaning of the exhibit hall?
Sweep and damp mop hard floors daily. Clean displays daily‐‐displays should be free of obvious dust and dirt, food waste, debris, trash, streaks, and smudges. Daily clean and dust furniture and surfaces to a height of 72" above the floor. Daily clean visitor center viewing windows and doors.
4. Does the refuge currently have a janitorial vendor for the building?
Yes, there is an incumbent janitorial vendor for this facility.
5. Will the vendor be expected to clean the building while staff are present, or afterhours?
Janitorial services shall take place Monday ‐ Friday between the hours of 6 a.m. ‐ 6 p.m. Staff may or may not be present in the building while janitorial services are taking place. Most staff occupy the building between 7 a.m. ‐ 4:30 p.m. Mondays ‐ Fridays.
6. Is the janitorial vendor expected to provide the cleaning supplies, or will the refuge provide?
Supplies will be provided by the government.
