Amendment 2-for Solicitation #1333ND21QNB640087 – High-Performance Computer Systems

The above referenced solicitation is hereby amended to respond to questions submitted, incorporate a change to the statement of work, and to extend the due date and time for quotations to 1:00pm EST on March 11, 2021.

A.) The following questions and responses are hereby provided:

1. Question:

UPS – Uninterruptible Power Supply (2 required) HPE does not offer a UPS with 6000VA with the required NEMA L6-30P input connector. The closest HPE has is their R5000 with

5000VA and a L6-30P input connector.

Government Response:

No response provided as this is not a question.

2. Question:

PDU – Power distribution unit (2 required) HPE does not offer a PDU that is rated for 30A with a L6-30P input plug. They have a 24A PDU with 4.9kVA/L6-30P

3. Question:

InfiniBand switch (1 required) Managed or unmanaged?

All required specifications are identified in the statement of work.

4. Question:

Compute nodes (16 required) All hardware must be fully compatible with the Linux operating system, under kernel version 4.9 or later. Which flavor of Linux will be used?

Government Response:

No response is provided as “flavor of Linux” is not clear. Please reference the statement of work for all required specifications.

5. Question:

The contractor must complete burn-in testing of all components prior to delivery. What criteria are they looking for a burn-in test to accomplish?

Government Response:

The burn-in testing must accomplish demonstration of functionality of the system, specifically that it powers on and the components all are present (example: all of the memory is recognized).

6. Question:

What type of support level and term is required? 3/4/5 years? 24/7 or NBD

Government Response:

The Government has responded to this question via the amended warranty language.

B.) The following change is hereby incorporated and made a part of the statement of work:

DELETE:

Warranty The Contractor shall include a warranty on all parts for a period of three (3) years after acceptance. Replacement parts must be made available via advance replacement return merchandise authorization (RMA). Upon receiving notification that a part has failed, the Contractor shall deliver, without charge, a replacement part within 10 business days for the length of the warranty.

ADD:

Warranty The Contractor shall include a warranty on all parts for a period of three (3) years after acceptance. Replacement parts must be made available via advance replacement return merchandise authorization (RMA). Upon receiving notification that a part has failed, the Contractor shall deliver, without charge, a replacement part within 10 business days for the length of the warranty.

Warranty support must be provided during normal business hours only (U.S. Eastern Time)
