2. Publicly provide answers to inquires posed by interested parties in the site visit and via email.

3. Provide picture attachments relevant to contract requirements. See the following attachments:

CLIN 0002 Humidifier Specifications CLIN 0002 Humidity Sensors Manuel CLIN 0002 HVAC Manuel CLIN 0003 Operation Process CLIN 0003 Panel Pictures and Flow Process.

4. Provide a revised copy of the NIST Requirements document.

5. Publicly provide answers to inquires posed by interested parties.

Question 1: Can the software suggested in the CLIN 0001 description be substituted for equivalent software?

NIST Response to Question 1: Yes. An equivalent software can be proposed.

Question 2: Does each room/CLIN require different software?

NIST Response to Question 2: The software in each room will be loaded onto a computer in that room and the software will not be able to connect to the internet. While the same software can be loaded on each computer, the software in each room will need to work independently from the other rooms.

Question 3: What RAM & memory is required for each required PC?

NIST Response to Question 3: Each computer requires a 500GM hard drive memory and an 8GB RAM.

Question 4: Is the Contractor required to replace piping for the humidifiers being provided in the requirements? (CLIN 0002) NIST Response to Question 4: Yes. If replacement is deemed necessary to ensure system performance.

Question 5: What is the allowable shutdown timeframe for installing the humidifiers? (CLIN 0002) NIST Response to Question 5: The system can be shut down for up to two weeks.

Question 6: Are the current system controllers on all CLINs capable of reaching the hundredth degree that is required?

NIST Response to Question 6: Yes. The current system can meet these requirements.

Question 7: What is the current product pressure and steam consumption rate on the humidifiers? (CLIN 0002) NIST Response to Question 7: 4.1 pounds per hour and 12 PSI Question 8: Are the humidifiers and HVAC system in CLIN 0002 house water or chill water supplied?

NIST Response to Question 8: The systems are chill water supplied.

Question 9: Can NIST provide a connector to the house water for replacement humidifiers?

NIST Response to Question 9: Yes, if necessary.

Question 10: What refrigerant is used in the CLIN 0002 HVAC?

NIST Response to Question 10: The refrigerant is R22.

Question 11: Can two (2) computers be offered to meet the requirements of CLIN 0002 instead of the one proposed?

NIST Response to Question 11: Yes.

Question 12: How are the communication between the controller panels being run to the computers on all the CLINs?

NIST Response to Question 12: Serial connection is being utilized.

Question 13: Can wireless connections be proposed between the connectors and computers?

NIST Response to Question 13: No, the building is not capable of stable wireless communications.

Question 14: Can wireless connections be proposed between the connectors and computers?

NIST Response to Question 14: No, the building is not capable of stable wireless communications.

Question 14: How long can the CLIN 0001 equipment be shut down?

NIST Response to Question 14: The equipment can be shut down for up to four (4) weeks.

Question 15: How many probes are located in the laser enclosure for CLIN 0001?

NIST Response to Question 15: Seven (7) probes.

Question 16: Are the PCs going to be internet networked?

NIST Response to Question 16: No.

Question 17: Can the proposed computers be touch screen?

NIST Response to Question 17: Yes.

Question 18: What capabilities for operating the HVAC system must the CLIN 0003 computer have?

NIST Response to Question 18: The computer must be able to establish set points and monitor lab conditions.

Question 19: What in the CLIN 0003 lab needs replacing?

NIST Response to Question 19: The current computer and software that controls the set points and monitors lab conditions.

Question 20: Can vendors propose to change the circuit boards?

NIST Response to Question 20: Yes, if necessary.

Question 21: Des NIST have the hand-held control for the 7718?

NIST Response to Question 21: Yes NIST does have the HHC hand held control. Please see the provided manual.

Question 22: What is the com port settings for the communications on the computers?

NIST Response to Question 22: For the computer controlling the 2 CMM labs (CLIN 0002) the baud rate of 9600, the dilatometer lab (CLIN 0001) computer runs a baud rate of 19200, all of the other parameters weren't listed in the iNet software, and as for the tape tunnel (CLIN 0003) computer, the baud rate is unknown since it won't start up.
