Amendment 4 is to post Additional Questions and Answers. Date for questions and answer cut off is January 2, 2019.

Q1. In section C6 Licenses and Insurance it states that the contractor shall be registered as a Farm Labor Contractor. Upon reviewing the requirements for a Farm Labor Contractor we do not meet the requirements to register. Can this requirement be waived?
A1. It doesn’t need to be waived. It only applies if you meet the requirements to register. If you don’t meet the requirements then just states so.
Q2. Under Section 8.2 / General Specifications in regards to the piles it states that all piles shall not exceed 70 feet, however during the job walk it was expressed that there was no limit to pile size. Is there a limit or not?
A2. It was stated at the pre-bid tour that there was no pile size this was not correct the contract is correct at a 70 foot size.
Q3. Can we get a map that shows all the LOP / Controlled Areas (arch sites, noxious weeds, non-work, etc)?
A3. A Map with LOP areas/controlled areas such as arch sites, noxious weeds will not be provided at this time. These are not items normally put on our maps. If time permits, we will attempt develop a Map including some of these areas and provide it prior to January 2, 2019.
Q4. On areas over 45%: Are all areas over 45% considered non-work or will there be some hand work in these areas? Will there be a map showing what areas will be considered hand work?
A4. Yes hand work will be required on the 45% and over slopes. Limitations for some units listed in C.8.2 Specification F. Common to all Treatments: # 3 Units Q009, T006 U003 live brush and dead brush skeletons on slopes greater than 45% slope no treatment is required. Dead trees would still be felled and piled.
Q4. Can we bill for progress payments in the larger units?
A4. Yes, but partial unit inspections need to be discussed with COR and Inspectors. This should be a part of your schedule, your plan or approach to work.
Q5. Do we have to bid all items? Based on the discussion at the job walk not all items were required to be bid. Please confirm.
A5. Yes all items need to be bid.
