Queson and Answers:

1. Testo Humidity Sensor 0555 6621 – When conducting the NIST certification for this sensor, is the contractor calibrating for temperature, humidity, or both? Both.

2. Vaisala (Draeger) Point Guard 2000 VHP Monitor – According to Vaisala, they do not manufacture this piece of equipment. Accordingly, who is the manufacturer, and does the instrument itself need to be calibrated, or does it use a sensor that will need to be calibrated? Note, the contractor cannot determine the level of effort and costs until such time as the manufacturer, model, and serial number are known. Actual Drager item, serial numbers provided on spreadsheet.

3. Vaisala Indigo 80 Handheld Transmitter – According to Vaisala, this instrument does not get calibrated. Accordingly, does USDA want pricing to replace the unit? Confirmed no calibration, Removed from TE-1.

4. Vaisala Indigo 520 Transmitter – According to Vaisala, this instrument does not get calibrated. However, depending on the model of the transmitter, it could have a barometric pressure module, which would require calibration. Please specify the specific model USDA owns and whether or not it has the barometric pressure module, or any other specialized module. Assuming there are no specialized modules, does USDA want pricing to replace the unit? Confirmed no calibration, Removed from TE-1.

5. According to Section 4.2.5 of the PWS, “The contractor is responsible for visiting the site prior to submitting a bid to observe existing conditions.” Please confirm that a site visit is mandatory? Due to shipping arrangements and conditions a site visit is mandatory.
