Attachment 1 - SPECIFICATIONS:

Eighteen (18) head of cattle (calves) are needed for research dust bag study in Edinburg, TX. Animal requirements:

Weight to be between 500‐550 lbs.

Prefer same sex ‐ all heifers or all steers Age 6‐24 months Preferred breeds: Preferred breed: Black Angus. No bull calves. No Brahman, Brahman cross, or

Brahman influence accepted. Brahman have a natural immunity to the cattle fever tick making them non‐suitable.

Cattle must not have been exposed to cattle fever ticks or have been exposed to locations with cattle fever ticks.
