12639522Q0247 Q&A Q1 - Is this a new or follow-on contract? If a follow-on, who is the incumbent and what is the contract #?
A1 – This is contract will replace 12639520C0088. There is currently no incumbent, as the previous contractor merged with another business and closed out their accounts.
Q2 - How many facility escort officers will be provided while the contractor is onsite? Will we be able to work in multiple buildings simultaneously?
A2 – There will be 2 to 4 four escorts depending on availability. Yes, units in multiple buildings can be serviced simultaneously.
Q3 - Is the list of equipment on page 50 complete?
A3 – Yes, the BSC and Chemical Fume hood list may change year to year but very seldom is a new piece of equipment added without removing an existing piece of equipment.
Q4 - Are all units on the same test and certification schedule? If so, when is the certification to be completed by (what month)?
A4 – The testing/certification of the 53 HEPA filters are usually completed in late October through early November. The Bio-Safety Cabinets and Chemical Fume Hoods testing/certification are completed in late May. The Magnehelic gauge testing/certifications do not have a testing/certification month by which they need to be completed.
Q5 - Will all units be available to be tested and certified in one visit or will the test and certification require multiple visits?
A5 - Multiple visits to keep the same testing/certification schedule and to provide enough escorts.
