Questions and Answers for Sol# 12505B23Q0131
Q: Why is a new solicitation (# 12505B23Q0131) being issued for a Cell Counter when one had already been posted previously for it (sol# 12505B23Q0100) on SAM.gov?
A: The products quoted during the initial solicitation (# 12505B23Q0100) were found to not meet the technical requirements outline in the solicitation description and Statement of Work.
This necessitated the issuing of a new solicitation (# 12505B23Q0131) which was issued as unrestricted to find quotes for products that mees all of the specified technical requirements.
Q: Can you provide the item, item number, or catalog number that you are requesting quotes for?
A: We are not requesting quotes for a specific item, item number, or catalog number. Any product(s) that meet ALL of the listed technical requirements would be considered acceptable.
Q: Do you have the serial number for the Cell Counter or is this a purchase of a new instrument?
A: There is no serial number as the solicitation is for a new piece of equipment.
Q: Are you interested in an extended warranty?
A: No
Q: Can the quote include product accessories?
A: Accessories should only be included in a quote if they are required for the primary piece of equipment to able to meet the technical requirements outlined in the solicitation.
Q: Is installation and training required?
A: Yes, the vendor is expected to provide both installation and training for the equipment.
Q: Does installation need to be completed by qualified individuals?
A: Yes, qualified individuals should complete the installation.
Q: Do you need someone to come on site and train the users?
A: Yes, it is expected that on-site, in person training be provided. Virtual demonstration of the instrument and/or video training will not be considered acceptable.
Note: If one of the items listed we are asking for a quoted price for will be provided at NO additional cost (i.e. software, delivery, installation, and/or training) then the quote should include a line item for it with a quoted price of $0.00.
