Questions and Answers for Sol# 12505B23Q0116

Q: Why is a new solicitation (# 12505B23Q0116) being issued for a Feed Mixer Wagon when one had already been posted previously for it (sol# 12505B23Q0083) on SAM.gov?

A: The products quoted during the initial solicitation (# 12505B23Q0083) were found to (1) not meet all of the technical requirements outline in the solicitation description and Statement of Word (i.e. not able to off-load mixed feed to a height of at least 78 inches), (2) not being for the correct type of equipment we were requesting quotes on (i.e. equipment other than a Feed Mixer Wagon), or (3) the quoted product could not be delivered within the time frame specified in the solicitation description and Statement of Word (i.e. within 90 days of award). This necessitated the issuing of a new solicitation (# 12505B23Q0116) which was issued as unrestricted to find quotes for the right type of equipment, for a piece of equipment that meets all of the specified technical requirements, and for a piece of equipment that can be delivered within the stated timeframe (updated to within 120 days of award).

Q: Will quotes for modified pieces of equipment be accepted?

A: So long as the modification(s) allow for the quoted product to meet ALL of the technical requirements outline in the solicitation and Statement of Work then quotes for modified pieces of equipment will be accepted.
