Service Contract Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC (MM10042C) and
FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503)
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work:. This contract is to provide preventative maintenance and demand service for both Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC (MM10042C) and FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503) located at 1920 Dayton Ave, Ames, IA.
Covered components will include:
Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC (MM10042C) and
FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503)
Base + 4 Option Year Contract
2.0 Background. The purpose of this statement of work is to obtain a service contract for the maintenance and repair of Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC MM10042C) and
FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503)
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks:
Service tasks include, but are not limited to:
Unlimited demanded service site visits.
3-day turn around time (72 hours from the time of reported problem to the presence of a service engineer on site).
Contractor must have on-staff service engineers and be able to dispatch those engineers.
All service engineer travel and labor are paid for in the contract.
All service engineers must be factory trained and qualified to service said instrument.
All parts must be Original Equipment Manufacturer.
All parts, labor and travel required to repair instrument are covered under the contract.
All software updates are covered under the contract.
Provides yearly preventatice maintenance visits to clean, inspect, adjust, and calibrate centrifuge to factory specifications.
Provides phone support from service engineers factory trained, certified, employed and dispatched by the contractor.
4.0 Government Furnished: Government-furnished support is limited to security access to the equipment in the NCAH facility, replacement parts not otherwise covered under this agreement, AC power (110VAC) and standard office lighting.

Required Services
Performance Objective Performance Requirement
Preventative Maintenance:
Contractor will perform One (1) Annual PM visit
Contractor will inspect, clean, align, calibrate, repair or replace defective parts and perform operational tests to ensure instrument meets factory specifications.
Instrument is clean, fully operational and meets factory specifications.
Telephone Support
Contractor will provide telephone support for Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/
IC (MM10042C) and
FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503)
Telephone support is available during business hours to attempt to resolve technical issues that may develop. If telephone support is not sufficient to resolve technical issues, contractor will provide onsite repair and maintenance as detailed under Emergency Repairs.
DEMAND
VISITS
Contractor will provide demand visits to complete emergency repairs in compliance with OEM for Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC
(MM10042C) and
FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503)
.Contractor will provide telephone support unless on-site technical support and repair is required. Repair will be provided within 3 working days of notification to contractor, by OEM factory trained and OEM employed technicians.
Emergency support will be provided within 3 work days by factory trained engineers.
6.0 Travel: One (1) preventive maintenance service visit will be provided by the contractor.
All service visits (emergency and otherwise) will be coordinated with either of the Technical Points of Contact.
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel: Only factory trained engineers are to perform any service procedure on the Orbitrap Exploris 240 Basic System w/ IC (MM10042C) and FAIMS PRO (FAIMS-20503). Contractor must have on-staff service engineers and be able to dispatch those engineers.
8.0 Security Requirements: A copy of an official government photo ID (State-issued driver’s license or ID card, passport, green card, etc.) must be provided no later than one week before arrival of contract service technician(s) except in the case of emergency service, were only the name of the technician provided via email or telephone will be necessary.
Security access to the NCAH facility will be provided based on this identification requirement.
9.0 Data Rights: Not applicable.
10.0 Section 508 – Electronic and Information Technology Standards: Not applicable.
11.0 Place of Performance: All maintenance and repairs will be done on site 1920 Dayton Ave, Ames IA or the vendor will pay for the shipping of the repairable item to and from the site of repair.

(d) Comptroller General Examination of Record The Contractor shall comply with the provisions of this paragraph (d) if this contract was awarded using other than sealed bid, is in excess of the simplified acquisition threshold, as defined in FAR 2.101, on the date of award of this contract, and does not contain the clause at 52.215-2, Audit and Records -- Negotiation.
(1) The Comptroller General of the United States, or an authorized representative of the Comptroller General, shall have access to and right to examine any of the Contractor’s directly pertinent records involving transactions related to this contract.
(2) The Contractor shall make available at its offices at all reasonable times the records, materials, and other evidence for examination, audit, or reproduction, until 3 years after final payment under this contract or for any shorter period specified in FAR Subpart 4.7, Contractor Records Retention, of the other clauses of this contract. If this contract is completely or partially terminated, the records relating to the work terminated shall be made available for 3 years after any resulting final termination settlement. Records relating to appeals under the disputes clause or to litigation or the settlement of claims arising under or relating to this contract shall be made available until such appeals, litigation, or claims are finally resolved.
(3) As used in this clause, records include books, documents, accounting procedures and practices, and other data, regardless of type and regardless of form. This does not require the Contractor to create or maintain any record that the Contractor does not maintain in the ordinary course of business or pursuant to a provision of law.

FAR 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services (Nov 1999)
The Government may require continued performance of any services within the limits and at the rates specified in the contract. These rates may be adjusted only as a result of revisions to prevailing labor rates provided by the Secretary of Labor. The option provision may be exercised more than once, but the total extension of performance hereunder shall not exceed 6 months.
The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days.
FAR 52.217-9 Option to Extend the Term of the Contract (MAR 2000)
(a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 30 days; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 60 day before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension.
(b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause.
(c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed 3 years and 6 months.

Invoices: To invoice, a vendor must first enroll in the Invoice Processing Platform (IPP) by visiting https://www.ipp.gov/vendors/index.htm. Once enrolled, all invoices must be submitted electronically through IPP. The IPP is a government-wide secure web-based payment information service offered free of charge to government agencies and their suppliers by the U.S. Department of Treasury's Financial Management Service (FMS).
One-time enrollment in IPP means that you will receive a series of e-mails from Treasury services. The first email will have the IPP Logon ID and link to the IPP application. A second e-mail, containing the password will be sent within 24 hours.
