Quesons (answers in red italics) as follows:

1. Is the Government furnishing the bridge? No, the Contractor is required to design, fabricate, furnish, deliver, and install the new bridge.

2. Does water level drop in the fall months? Yes, that is why the on-the-ground work is not slated to begin until September.

3. What are the names of some pre-fab steel bridge suppliers? Contech, Big R, and True North Steel are some.

4. When, if at all, will the Opon Item #1 work be awarded? Intent will be to award at the same time as the Base Bid work or within 60 days per FAR 52.217-7.

5. Are bid, performance and payment bonds required? Yes. Bid bonds shall be at least 20% of the bid price or $3,000,000, whichever is less.

6. In what format do proposals need to be submited? Follow instructions noted under AGAR 452.215-71 (Solicitation Document, Page 28 – 30). Recommend contacting the CO prior to submission.
