Additional Questions and answers
1. Will USDA locate a 3 phase electrical voltage knife blade disconnect with wire and breakers, within 5ft of the installation site for the new electric boiler required to supply steam to the new sterilizer? Yes
2. Will USDA locate a 3 phase electrical voltage knife blade disconnect with wire and breakers, within 5ft of the installation site of the new sterilizer for the vacuum pump for the sterilizer? Yes
3. Will USDA locate a new 12” floor sink drain within 5ft of installation site of new sterilizer? This will allow for proper drainage of new electric boiler and new sterilizer. Yes
4. Will USDA furnish and install a fume hood above the installation site of the new sterilizer to match what is currently above the existing unit? Yes (roof exhaust is currently being worked on). Hood will be connected after unit is in place.
5. Will USDA accept electric solenoid valves instead of pneumatic valves since the facility air pressure will not support the use of pneumatic valves? Yes
6. Will the new electric boiler be required to included automatic blow down? Yes
7. Can you further explain what is expected per page 1 by “Descaling Unit”? VENDOR IS REFERRING TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION’S SOLICITATION.

9. Will USDA supply cold water 60psi dynamic or greater for the new sterilizer? Contractor will tie into the existing lines approximately 4 feet from the new unit.
10. Will USDA supply hot water 60psi dynamic or greater for the new boiler? Contractor will tie into the existing lines approximately 4 feet from the new unit.
11. Our Belimed team offers a chamber that is 26 x 26 x 53. Does the chamber size need to be exact, or is there some flexibility with the sizing? The unit must be classified as medium. VENDOR IS REFERRING TO A DIFFERENT LOCATION’S SOLICITATION.
12. Can you provide a little more detail on what this would be?- Training and sanitizing/cleaning kits. Training on how to safely and properly operate the new unit and general info on where to get cleaning accessories, etc.
13. Steris AMSCO 430LS is a life science sterilizer. Can you please provide a list of cycle recipes that they would be using? Gravity, liquid, and Pre-vacuum.
14. 480V is mentioned for power requirements but Belimed’s sterilizers run off two power sources. 480V for the steam generator and 208V for the sterilizer. Can you verify that these two power sources can be provided? YES, 2 SOURCES ARE AVAILABLE.
