PURCHASE SPECIFICATIONS FOR A-10-12-001-02 Stands Prepared by:

A-10-12-001 Stands
I. Purpose A-10 Stands are used to support Hill Air Force Base production. They are used for preparation, paint, and basting A-10 airplane external surfaces.
II. Scope Supply stands per drawing A-10-12-001 -02.
III. Quantity 1 each of -401 1 each of -402 1 each of -703 1 each of -704 1 each of -1101 1 each of -1102 2 each of -2501 1 each of -3503 1 each of -4001 1 each of -4002 1 each of -4301 1 each of -4302 1 each of -4501 IV. Quality All items shall be clean of dirt, burrs, material shavings, cutting oil, etc. upon delivery and meet the requirements of A-10-12-001 -02 drawing including weight test requirements outlined on sheet 3 of drawing.
V. Changes Alterations to drawing A-10-12-001, scope, design and configuration are not authorized. Only the Air Force Contracting Officer can authorize changes.
VI. Acceptance Government shall inspect A-10-12-001 -02 Stands for full acceptance at time of delivery.
VII. Delivery Stands shall be delivered no later than 6 months from contract award. Delivery to Hill Air Force Base is typically Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Call Michael Cox @ 801-586-1787 for an appointment prior to delivery.
VIII. Technical drawing package Government contracting officer will issue drawing package upon request. An e-drawings 3D model file of the assembly is also available. The e-drawings viewer can be down loaded free of charge from www.edrawingsviewer.com. If you are unable to access the drawings, contact the contracting officer as soon as possible.
IX. Warranty Industry standard warranty; contractor shall provide warranty information with their quote.
X. Onsite Assembly Required Onsite assembly may be required at point of delivery at Hill AFB. The frame assemblies may require some welding/assembly on site due to shipping size constraints. Contractor shall be responsible for all assembly and welding at delivery site.
1. Controlled Area Assembly All onsite assembly shall be done in a controlled area. Visitors and all personnel working in the controlled area must be escorted by government personnel at all times. Assembly shall be outside, unless hanger space is available and is necessary due to weather conditions.
i. LOST TOOLS: If tools, and/or equipment are lost in the aircraft maintenance area, the contractor will report the loss to the PM within 30 minutes of discovering the item is lost. Every effort shall be made to recover the item before reporting it as lost.
ii. FOREIGN OBJECT DAMAGE (FOD) Safety Requirements: FOD is any foreign object which causes damage to an aircraft. To ensure no construction materials become FOD the contractor is required to; ensure all deliveries and vehicles are properly covered and clean prior to entering the industrial area, ensure all work areas are cleaned daily, ensure all construction debris is contained within the work zone. Thoroughly clean all installed products and all construction areas prior to turn over to government.
iii. The contractor shall be responsible for safeguarding all their property as well as all government property provided for contractor use. At the close of each work period, government and contractor facilities, property, and materials shall be secured.
iv. On site field welding requires contractor to provide 2 ABC fire extinguishers on site with them at time of welding. A Hill AFB hot work permit is also required prior to starting work. One week prior notice shall be given to Project Engineer to coordinate and obtain a hot work permit prior to any onsite welding.
v. Contractor shall comply with all safety requirements of Hill AFB while performing on site work. This includes using the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate for the task. Examples include use of safety glasses, hearing protection, fire resistant curtains (when required), etc. Any questions regarding this requirement should be directed to the Project Engineer.
