BRAND NAME SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS

Sellers shall offer the Brand Name System equipped in accordance with the attached Brand Name Specifications or offer aa system that meets or exceeds the following Brand Name Salient Characteristics:

Salient Characteristics for updates to the Linkam TMSG600 (SNs: 06R2599 and 06K1739) for the USGS microanalytical lab in Building 20

Salient Characteristics for the upgrade to the Linkam microthermometry stages:

1. The upgrades must be compatible with the TMSG600 stages we already own (SNs: 06R2599 and 06K1739)

2. The upgrades should be a combination of the following:

a. A temperature controller, a liquid nitrogen pump, a stage lead, and the controlling software.

b. A temperature controller, a liquid nitrogen pump, a stage lead, the controlling software, and a compatible camera.

3. The upgrades and all related components offered for sale and delivered to the USGS site shall be new and unused.

4. All of the items have a minimum one-year warranty.

5. The components shale be “off the shelf” and NOT “custom made” or “made to order”

6. In addition to written price, the vendor provides product literature, technical data and drawings, and/or other documents to demonstrate the ability of the proposed upgrades to the Linkam systems and all related components to meet the salient characteristics.

7. The new camera must work WITHIN the temperature controlling software and not as a stand-alone software.

8. Installation and User Training on-site at the Denver Federal Center.
