Questions and Answers

1. Would one (1) 12 head containerized shower unit and one (1) 6 head containerized shower unit be acceptable or are you specifically asking for three (3) separate 6 head containerized shower units?

No, only three (3) separate six (6) head containerized showers units will be acceptable

2. Will the shower units all be staged at the same location or stage in various strategic locations around the training area? All three units will be located in the same area.

3. The RFP specifically outlines “containerized” shower units. Are mobile shower units on wheels, meeting all outlined requirements, acceptable? No, showers must be containerized units.

4. Is it possible for a direct hookup to a water source? No, there is no water source at the site, water must be brought into the site.

5. What is the distance from where the shower units will be staged to a Potable Fresh Water Supply?

The distance is five miles.

6. What is the distance from where the shower units will be staged to a Waste Water discharge point? The distance is three miles.

7. What is the distance from where the shower units will be staged to a Power Supply?

Aproximately 30 feet

8. Clarification on Government Furnished Property, specifically “Fresh Water Holding Tank (water Buffalo), 3500 gallon. Will the Government supply 3 such tanks, one for each shower unit, or one tank for all 3 shower units? One 3500 gallon tank for all three shower units

9. Clarification on Contractor Furnished Equipment, specifically Waste water holding tank tight, leak proof – 3500 gallon capacity. Does the Government require a 3500 gallon waste water tank for each shower unit or 3500 gallons for all three? Would a 1500 gallon waste water tank per unit be acceptable? Either 3,500 gallons for all three, or 1,500 gallon per unit

10. Clarification on Contractor Furnished Equipment, PWS 4. H – Potable Water Delivery Truck with a secure and tight waste water collection system. Is the Government referring to a “Potable Water Delivery Truck” or a “Waste Water collection system”? Both

11. Given the ISO Container size requirement of 8’ X 8’6” X 20 is there a specific requirement for the actual size of the shower stall itself? No

12. Is the anticipated need for male / female stalls 50/50 per unit? OR, could a configuration of 4/2 male/female stalls per unit meet your requirements? OR, could one of the three units be designated “Female” for example? We designate one unit for females

13. Is there 220v electricity provided on site? If so, how far will it be from the location of these showers? Yes, is about 30 feet away from the showers

14. Does the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation under solicitation number 0010915244 contain requirements similar to a current contract? Yes

15. If possible, please provide the current contract number. The current contract number is FA3016- 11-F-0137

16. Or, is this a new requirement for the government? This is a new requirement.

17. Is there clean water supply for each shower or will we need to provide water tanks and filling service? We have a 3,500 gallons tank, but must be filled in several times with water

18. Each shower connects to a standard water hose. No, there is no water supply

19. Is there gray water drainage for these showers or will we need collection tanks and hauling service? Need to provide collection tanks, and haul the gray water to a disposal point.
