The federal contract IDV award, held by Adept Fasteners Inc. of Valencia, California, is a single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract (IDC) with the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation. Valued at up to $250,000, the contract covers a wide range of aerospace fasteners and hardware for military aircraft, including machine screws, self-locking nuts, shear bolts, turnlock receptacles, and specialized items like tooling kits and emergency hose assemblies. As a prime contractor, Adept Fasteners fulfills firm fixed-price delivery orders placed by DLA Aviation, a defense agency that procures and manages inventories of spare parts for the military's fixed-wing aircraft, engines, and commodities. The IDC has an ultimate completion date of August 30, 2027, enabling DLA Aviation to efficiently obtain critical aviation supplies on an as-needed basis. Additionally, Adept Fasteners holds a separate $5 million IDC with the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Detroit Arsenal for tooling kit soft permaswage supplies, further positioning the company as a key supplier in maintaining the reliability of military aircraft fleets.
The task orders issued under the DLA Aviation IDC provide examples of the specific hardware items being procured, such as socket head cap screws, socket cap screws, and socket head cap screws. These micro-purchase delivery orders, valued at $396 each, do not utilize any small business set-asides, and require Adept Fasteners to deliver the parts from its California facility to DLA Aviation by the specified completion dates, which range from March to September 2023. Through these IDCs and associated task orders, Adept Fasteners demonstrates its role as a trusted supplier of critical aerospace fasteners and components to support the U.S. military's aviation logistics and readiness requirements.
