THE FMAB PROGRAM IS A NON-DEVELOPMENTAL ITEM THAT HAS BEEN IDENTIFIED BY THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS (USMC) AS AN URGENT NEED FOR A LIGHTWEIGHT, RAPIDLY EMPLACE-ABLE (LESS THAN 10 MINUTES), MANUALLY-ASSEMBLED FOOTBRIDGE WITHOUT INTERMEDIATE SUPPORT ABLE TO SPAN A DRY GAP NOT LESS THAN 20 METERS. THE FMAB WITH INTERMEDIATE FLOAT AND ANCHORING DEVICES SHALL SPAN A WET GAP NOT LESS THAN 30 METERS. FOOTBRIDGE MUST BE PACKAGED IN A SET OF INTERCHANGEABLE COMPONENTS. INDIVIDUAL FOOTBRIDGE COMPONENTS SHALL NOT EXCEED 74.4KGS (164LBS).
