Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc. is providing pharmaceutical products to the Department of Veterans Affairs National Acquisition Center under a single-award Indefinite Delivery Contract. The contract has a potential value of $92.9 million and a period of performance through August 2024.
Under the terms of the contract, Mylan will supply divalproex sodium tablets to meet the medication needs of veterans served by VA, DoD, Bureau of Prisons and Indian Health Service medical facilities nationwide. As the prime contractor, Mylan is responsible for packaging and delivering approximately 19,000 bottles of the anti-seizure and mood stabilizing medication annually through the end of the period of performance.
In addition to the current IDC, Mylan holds other federal contracts supporting the procurement of critical pharmaceuticals. This includes Federal Supply Schedule agreements and additional IDCs with the VA National Acquisition Center, Defense Logistics Agency and VHA VISN 12 to provide specialty drug products for conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, women's health issues and mental health medications. Through these contracts, Mylan aims to ensure an adequate and reliable supply of prescription medications to patients in VA, DoD and Bureau of Prisons health systems.
