HLTH - THE PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND PRIMARY CARE IN OKLAHOMA (PA BE OK) PROGRAM WILL 1) PLACE TRAINEES IN RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS THAT INCLUDE INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FOR A MINIMUM OF 3 MONTHS; 2) PROVIDE STIPENDS TO TRAINEES WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE 3-MONTH RURAL CLINICAL ROTATIONS THAT INVOLVE INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH; 3) PROVIDE CURRICULUM THAT PREPARES TRAINEES FOR CLINICAL ROTATIONS THAT ADDRESS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS; 4) PROVIDE MOUD TRAINING FOR TRAINEES; 5) INCORPORATE INTERPROFESSIONAL CLINICAL AND DIDACTIC LEARNING FOR TRAINEES; 6) DEVELOP NEW PARTNERSHIPS FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICAL ROTATIONS IN RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS; 7) EXPAND EXISTING PARTNERSHIPS FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICAL ROTATIONS IN RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS; AND 8) PROVIDE PRECEPTOR DEVELOPMENT IN BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. WE WILL ACCOMPLISH THESE AIMS THROUGH THREE PRIMARY OBJECTIVES. THE OBJECTIVES AND SUB-OBJECTIVES ARE AS FOLLOWS: OBJECTIVE 1: DEVELOP A 3-MONTH MINIMUM INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICAL ROTATION(S) IN A RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTING(S). WE WILL DEVELOP A 3-MONTH MINIMUM INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICAL ROTATIONS IN RURAL OKLAHOMA PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS BY FOCUSING ON TWO SUB-OBJECTIVES. SUB-OBJECTIVE 1.1 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PLACING TRAINEES INTO RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS THAT INCLUDE INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FOR A MINIMUM 3-MONTH ROTATION. SUB-OBJECTIVE 1.2 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PROVIDING STIPENDS TO TRAINEES WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE 3-MONTH MINIMUM RURAL CLINICAL ROTATIONS THAT INVOLVE INTEGRATED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH. OBJECTIVE 2: DEVELOP PROGRAM CURRICULUM TO ADDRESS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS. WE WILL DEVELOP PROGRAM CURRICULUM TO ADDRESS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS BY FOCUSING ON THREE SUB-OBJECTIVES. SUB-OBJECTIVE 2.1 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PROVIDING CURRICULUM THAT PREPARES TRAINEES FOR CLINICAL ROTATIONS THAT ADDRE SS BEHAVIORAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE. SUB-OBJECTIVE 2.2 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PROVIDING MEDICATIONS FOR OPIOID USE DISORDER (MOUD) TRAINING FOR TRAINEES. SUB-OBJECTIVE 2.3 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO PROVIDING INTERPROFESSIONAL CLINICAL AND DIDACTIC LEARNING FOR TRAINEES. OBJECTIVE 3: ESTABLISH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS THAT SUPPORT PRIMARY CARE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION IN RURAL AREAS. WE WILL ESTABLISH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS THAT SUPPORT PRIMARY CARE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH INTEGRATION IN RURAL AREAS BY FOCUSING ON THREE SUB-OBJECTIVES. SUB-OBJECTIVE 3.1 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO DEVELOPING NEW PARTNERSHIPS FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICAL ROTATIONS IN RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS. SUB-OBJECTIVE 3.2 WILL FOCUS ON ACTIVITIES RELATED TO EXPANDING EXISTING PARTNERSHIPS FOR PRIMARY CARE CLINICAL ROTATIONS IN RURAL PRIMARY CARE SETTINGS.
