Provide personalized training in translational research principles and methods to a diverse cohort of predoctoral trainees, equipping them with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to efficiently advance diagnostics, treatments, and healthcare access.
Recruit and retain an exceptional group of translational research and science faculty to serve as effective mentors for the trainees.
Promote a safe, inclusive, and tailored learning environment that fosters trainee development and research integrity.
Deliver strong program leadership, support, and comprehensive evaluation to ensure the ASCENT program fulfills NCATS' mission and expectations for advancing translational science.
The award commences on September 1, 2024 and runs through August 31, 2029.
