The American Bar Association Fund for Justice and Education (ABA FJE) received a $825,000 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) to support efforts combating human trafficking in Morocco as part of the International Programs to Combat Human Trafficking program (CFDA 19.019).

Under the award, ABA FJE will create a national referral mechanism (NRM) in Morocco to improve victim identification and expand services for trafficking victims. The INL's International Programs to Combat Human Trafficking aims to prevent human trafficking, protect and assist victims, and prosecute traffickers globally using a "3Ps" strategy. ABA FJE is well-positioned to advance these goals in Morocco through establishing standardized procedures for identifying and referring victims to appropriate support services. The two-year project period will run from May 1, 2021 through March 31, 2023.
