The National Institute on Drug Abuse awarded a $280,207 Project Grant under the Drug Use and Addiction Research Programs (CFDA 93.279) to Mobile Health Interventions LLC to develop a novel digital intervention, titled "A-CLEAR30", to reduce cannabis use among youth aged 13-17. The project aims to create a mobile-based program that includes personalized feedback, daily communications, guided meditations, resource pages, multimedia content, optional human support, and an AI-driven chatbot. The intervention is designed to work in conjunction with existing support systems, such as traditional treatment, individual therapy, or school-based programs. The grant will fund the development of an assessment instrument, extensive user research, and the creation of a minimum viable product (MVP) spanning mobile and SMS platforms, complemented by a parent support guide. The project seeks to address the significant adverse outcomes associated with regular, high-potency cannabis use among young people and provide an innovative, evidence-informed mobile health solution tailored to adolescent needs and preferences.
