The U.S. Department of the Interior Bureau of Reclamation awarded a $224,853.39 Project Grant to Hyde Park City, located in Cache County, Utah, under the WaterSMART (Sustain and Manage America's Resources for Tomorrow) program (CFDA 15.507). The funding will be used to upgrade 562 water meters in the city's domestic water distribution system with new meters coupled with cellular endpoints. This project aims to improve data analytics and water management, increase efficiency through better leak detection, and further the city's water conservation efforts as outlined in its water conservation plan.
