This project is part of a larger effort to treat approximately 1,500 riparian acres in the Salinas River and is supported by the Greater Monterey County Integrated Regional Water Management Plan and the Salinas River Long-Term Management Plan. RCD of Monterey County will partner with the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, the Monterey County Agricultural Commissioner's Office, the California Wildlife Conservation Board, and private landowners along the Salinas River to deliver the project. The grant period runs from July 7, 2023 to March 31, 2026.
