The University of Washington received a $23,979.69 Project Grant award from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) under the Promotion of the Humanities Division of Preservation and Access program (CFDA 45.149) to support the "Seattle's Sephardic Legacies" project from January 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019.
The NEH Division of Preservation and Access program aims to ensure long-term access to humanities resources held in libraries, museums, archives and other repositories. The University of Washington project focused on preserving and providing intellectual access to primary resources related to Seattle's Sephardic Jewish community through activities such as digitization and descriptive works to make the materials more discoverable.
