The Civil War and Reconstruction Governors of Mississippi Project (CWRGM) received a three-year, $349,860 project grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities under the Promotion of the Humanities Division of Preservation and Access program. CWRGM is developing an open-access digital documentary edition of over 20,000 documents from the papers of nine Mississippi governors spanning 1859 to 1882. To date, the project team has made nearly 7,000 documents available on their Omeka-S-based website, including digital files, metadata, transcriptions, subject tagging, and annotations.
