The National Digital Newspaper Program, a partnership between NEH and the Library of Congress, supports enhanced free, public access to historically significant U.S. newspapers published between 1690 and 1963 from all states and U.S. jurisdictions. Recipients digitize newspapers for permanent hosting in Chronicling America and produce accompanying title essays.
