The Stillwater Public Library Preservation Supplies Project received a $11,087.94 project grant award from the National Endowment for the Humanities under the Promotion of the Humanities Division of Preservation and Access program (CFDA 45.149). The award period was from January 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019.
The project aimed to ensure the long-term availability of and access to historical resources held by the Stillwater Public Library. Consistent with the program's goal of supporting projects that preserve primary humanities materials and provide intellectual access to collections in libraries, the funding supported the purchase of preservation supplies and materials to properly store and conserve historical documents, photographs, and other materials within the library's special collections for continued use by researchers. The City of Stillwater, Oklahoma was the awardee responsible for carrying out the project objectives.
