NEW PARK WILL INCLUDE A NEW PARKING AREA AND KIOSK. A NEW SPLASHPAD AND PLAYGROUND. A NEW PATHWAY AND SIGNAGE. NEW WATER FOUNTAINS AND SHADE STRUCTURES. NEW BENCHES AND PICNIC TABLES. NEW TOKA FIELD WITH BLEACHERS AND SCOREBOARD. NEW ACCESSIBLE RESTROOM. ELECTRIC AND WATER TO THE SITE. NATIVE SHADE TREES AND WATER FOUNTAINS. NEW 1 MILE SHARED USE PATH. THIS WILL PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY ITS FIRST PARK TO RECREATE BOTH ACTIVELY AND PASSIVELY. IT CAN BE USED BY ALL AGES AND HELP STRENGTHEN BOTH THEIR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH. THERE WAS EXTENSIVE PUBLIC COMMENT AND INPUT INTO THE FINAL DESIGN. PIMA COUNTY WILL BE PROVIDING MATCH FOR THE PROJECT WHICH WILL INCLUDE GRADING AND DRAINAGE OF THE ENTIRE PARK TO MINIMIZE ANY RISK OF FLOODING OF THE FACILITY DURING HEAVY RAINS.
