The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJ DEP) was awarded a $1.1 million Project Grant from the National Park Service under the Outdoor Recreation Acquisition, Development and Planning program (CFDA 15.916) to replace playground equipment at four state park and forest properties in southern New Jersey. Specifically, the NJ DEP will subgrant funds to replace seven large to medium sized play sets, three small play sets, and six swing sets at Parvin State Park, Bass River State Forest, Belleplain State Forest, and Atsion Recreation Area. One playground at Atsion East will include accessible features for individuals with physical disabilities. The project is intended to improve accessibility and safety at the park sites. Work will be completed between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2025.
