LOUIS COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (SLCPHHS), COUNTY GOVERNMENT RANGE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER (RMHC), CERTIFIED COMMUNITY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINIC (CCBHC) NORTHEAST SERVICE COOPERATIVE (NESC), REGIONAL EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AGENCY SCENIC RIVERS HEALTH SERVICES (SRHS), FEDERALLY QUALIFIED HEALTH CLINIC (FQHC) RANGE TRANSITIONAL HOUSING (RTH), NONPROFIT PUBLIC ENTITY ESSENTIA HEALTH (EH), HOSPITAL UNITED WAY OF NORTHEASTERN MINNESOTA (UWNEMN), NONPROFIT PUBLIC ENTITY NETWORK MEMBERS ARE COMMITTED TO THE PROJECT WITH EIGHTY-FIVE PERCENT (85%) BEING IN HRSA-DESIGNATED RURAL AREAS. MEMBERS OF BTBHN CAME TOGETHER TO CREATE A VERTICAL NETWORK OF ORGANIZATIONS SUPPORTING BEHAVIORAL HEALTH, INCLUDING MEDICAL (SRHS AND EH); FINANCIAL, PREVENTION, & PUBLIC HEALTH (SLCPHHS); MENTAL HEALTH AND SUBSTANCE USE (RMHC AND SRHS); AND EDUCATION, YOUTH, AND FAMILIES (NESC AND UWNEMN); HOUSING INSTABILITY (RTH); AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT AND INTERVENTION (UWNEMN). EXPERIENCE IN SERVING RURAL UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS: ORGANIZATIONS PARTICIPATING IN THE BTBHN HAVE SERVED NSLC FOR OVER 80 YEARS. THEY HAVE EXPERIENCE SERVING RURAL NSLC COMMUNITIES FACING MANY BARRIERS TO CARE. RMHC WAS AMONG THE FIRST MENTAL HEALTH CENTERS IN THE NATION AND STATE. UWNEMN PARTNERED WITH COMMUNITY AGENCIES TO SUPPORT DEVELOPING 8 BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PROGRAMS. THE BTBHN WILL STRUCTURE ITSELF TO SUPPORT HEALTH EQUITY IN OUR COMMUNITIES, WORKING TO ENHANCE DIVERSITY IN THE WORKPLACE AND UTILIZING EVIDENCE-BASED INTERVENTIONS THAT INCLUDES INCREASING HEALTH EQUITY. A KEY COMPONENT OF THE BTBHN WILL BE THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE AG THAT WILL BE REPRESENTATIVE OF INDIVIDUALS WITH LIVED EXPERIENCE AND THOSE IN UNDERSERVED POPULATIONS.
