The Rogue Valley Transportation District (RVTD) received a $780,116 project grant award from the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration under the Federal Transit Formula Grants (CFDA 20.507) program. The grant funding supported $699,998 in vehicle preventive maintenance costs for RVTD that had been transferred from FHWA's Surface Transportation Block Grant Program funds to Section 5307 funding in fiscal year 2021. The period of performance for preventive vehicle maintenance under this award was from September 19, 2021 through November 17, 2021.
The Federal Transit Formula Grants program makes federal resources available through the Urbanized Area Formula Funding program to local and regional authorities for transit capital and operating assistance, as well as transportation planning in urbanized areas. This particular award supported RVTD's delivery of preventive maintenance services for its vehicle fleet that are integral to the agency's transit operations in and around the Rogue Valley region of Oregon.
