The Rural Outreach Center serves as fiscal agent for the Springville Regional Coalition, a coalition established in 2014 and serving a 361 square mile area of 35,472 residents in southeastern Erie County, New York. The coalition works to reduce substance use among youth through collaboration across community sectors. Over its first five years of Drug-Free Communities funding (awarded in 2021), the coalition built a membership roster exceeding 100 members, with 60 percent or more participating in meetings and activities. In partnership with the Springville Griffith Institute School District, Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, the Springville Center for the Arts, and other coalition partners, the coalition's educational messages reach 1,500 students, their families, and the broader community.
