This $812,069 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267), awarded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on March 11, 2025, will fund the North Carolina Coalition To End Homelessness, Inc. in their efforts to provide comprehensive services aimed at rapidly rehousing homeless individuals and families in Durham, NC.
Through this Project Grant, the Coalition will implement community-wide strategies to address homelessness, including housing assistance, supportive services, and initiatives to promote self-sufficiency among those experiencing homelessness. Eligible activities under the CoC Program include permanent housing, transitional housing, supportive services, homeless management information systems (HMIS), and homelessness prevention. The Coalition's targeted initiatives are expected to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the region by reducing the length of time people are homeless, preventing returns to homelessness, and increasing exits to permanent housing.
