The Anderson Housing Authority (AHA) was awarded a $549,700 Project Grant under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Lead-Based Paint Capital Fund Program (CFDA 14.888). The grant funding will enable AHA to evaluate and mitigate lead-based paint and other housing-related environmental hazards, such as carbon monoxide and mold, in its portfolio of public housing units located in Anderson, Missouri. Key activities to be carried out under this 4-year grant include risk assessments, inspections, abatement, interim controls, and clearance examinations for lead-based paint and other residential health hazards. The program aims to improve health and safety conditions for residents of publicly supported housing in the Anderson community.
