This $618,727 Project Grant award from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program (CFDA 14.267) will support the City of St. Louis Homeless Services Division, operating under the Human Services Department, in delivering a range of housing and supportive services to address homelessness in the St. Louis metropolitan area.
The funding will enable the Division to quickly rehouse homeless individuals and families, minimize the trauma of homelessness, and promote self-sufficiency through initiatives such as emergency shelter, transitional and permanent supportive housing, case management, counseling, job training, and financial assistance. The Division partners with local nonprofit organizations to directly provide these services. The award is intended to help decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by improving performance metrics like length of time homeless, returns to homelessness, and exits to permanent housing.
