The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded a $162,816 Continuum of Care (CoC) Program grant (CFDA 14.267) to Northwest Michigan Supportive Housing (FMH), a non-profit organization based in Traverse City, Michigan. The grant, awarded on March 11, 2025, will support FMH's efforts to provide a range of services and housing assistance to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in the northwest Michigan region.
Under this grant, FMH will utilize the funding to deliver eligible activities under the CoC Program, including permanent supportive housing, rapid re-housing, transitional housing, supportive services, and homeless management information systems (HMIS). The goal is to decrease the number of individuals and families experiencing homelessness by quickly housing them, minimizing trauma, and promoting self-sufficiency through access to mainstream resources and tailored support services. FMH's specialized expertise in addressing homelessness and providing comprehensive housing assistance positions the organization to effectively implement community-wide strategies to end homelessness in the region.
