This Project Grant award from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) under the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Projects of Regional and National Significance program (CFDA 93.243) will fund the establishment of a Mobile Montgomery County Recovery Center (Mobile MCRC) to serve uninsured and underinsured individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The $850,000 award, spanning July 2024 to August 2024, will enable the non-profit awardee, Resources For Human Development, Inc. (RHD), to provide a comprehensive suite of OUD treatment, harm reduction, and recovery support services, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), through a mobile unit based out of RHD's existing Montgomery County Recovery Center. The goal is to increase access to evidence-based OUD treatment, reduce opioid-related deaths in the region, and achieve high consumer satisfaction with the service delivery. RHD plans to collaborate with the Pennsylvania Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs (DDAP) to expand its licensing and ensure full compliance with state and federal requirements.
