The Michigan State Police will receive $4.5 million under a two-year Project Grant from the Office of National Drug Control Policy to support the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Program. The grant will aid law enforcement efforts to dismantle drug trafficking and money laundering organizations in Michigan through coordinated information sharing and enforcement activities among federal, state, local, and tribal law agencies. Performance will be measured by the number of drug trafficking and money laundering organizations dismantled or disrupted, as well as improvements to law enforcement initiatives. Funding is provided from January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2023.
