The University of Central Florida Board of Trustees received a $295,491 Project Grant award from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory to support research titled "(DURIP) ELECTRICAL STEERING FOR TRANSCRANIAL FOCUSED ULTRASOUND MODULATION OF EEG SIGNALS." The award period runs from March 1, 2022 through February 28, 2023.
The research is being conducted under the Air Force Defense Research Sciences Program (CFDA 12.800), which aims to maintain Air Force technological superiority through scientific research relevant to its needs. This award will support the development of electrical steering techniques for transcranial focused ultrasound modulation of electroencephalography (EEG) signals, advancing non-invasive neuromodulation technologies with applications for the Air Force. Research will be performed at the University of Central Florida's facilities in Orlando, Florida.
