The University of New Mexico received a $284,492 Project Grant award from the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Research Laboratory to support research and development in the area of physics under the Air Force Defense Research Sciences Program (CFDA 12.800).
Through this award, the University will conduct basic and applied research in scientific areas relevant to Air Force needs, with the goal of maintaining U.S. technological superiority and preventing technological surprise from adversaries. Specifically, the University's Office of Sponsored Projects will oversee work to maintain a strong national research infrastructure in support of the Air Force laboratory through scientific inquiry in physics.
The period of performance for this Project Grant is from March 1, 2021 through August 31, 2022.
