The South Dakota Department of Public Safety was awarded a $436,522 Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program project grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency to support hazard mitigation activities from December 2021 through December 2024.
The BRIC program, administered by FEMA under the CFDA number 97.047, makes federal funds available to states and territories to implement hazard mitigation projects that reduce risks from disasters and natural hazards. This particular award will support the South Dakota Department of Public Safety in delivering services and initiatives to build resilience against hazards in communities across the state through December 2024.
