The Department of Military Affairs Wisconsin received a $198,660.72 Project Grant award from the Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Flood Mitigation Assistance program (CFDA #97.029) to conduct flood mitigation activities from May 2022 through May 2025. As the state grantee, the Department of Military Affairs will implement flood risk reduction projects for the benefit of Madison, Wisconsin. The Flood Mitigation Assistance program makes federal funds available to reduce flood risks to public and private structures through measures such as acquisition, relocation, elevation, and minor physical flood control projects. This award will support flood damage reduction efforts in the designated project area.
