The Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security received a $207,058.82 Project Grant award from the Federal Emergency Management Agency Headquarters Financial Assistance Awards on December 21, 2021 to complete the project by December 20, 2024. The grant is part of FEMA's BRIC: Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program (CFDA #97.047), which makes federal funds available to states, territories, tribes, and local communities for hazard mitigation activities. The award will support the Illinois agencies in delivering hazard mitigation services to Springfield, Illinois consistent with BRIC's goal of increasing resilience to disasters.
