The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded a $208,927.07 Project Grant to the State of Michigan under the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program on May 7, 2022 for hazard mitigation activities concluding on May 6, 2025. The State of Michigan, through its Emergency Management and Homeland Security Division, will provide law enforcement and public safety services including access to Michigan State Police radios and the Law Enforcement Information Network, as well as training courses such as hazardous material refresher training. A $208,927.07 sub-award was also provided to the City of Lansing to support delivery of these services at the local level through May 2025.
