The Federal Emergency Management Agency awarded a $103,656.52 Project Grant to the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency through the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities (BRIC) program. The BRIC program aims to support hazard mitigation activities that reduce risks from disasters and natural hazards. Under this award, the Georgia agency will deliver hazard mitigation and resilience-building projects and services from March 2022 through March 2025 to strengthen infrastructure and communities against disasters in Atlanta, Georgia. As the state administering agency, the Georgia Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency will oversee funding allocation and ensure BRIC program objectives are met through sub-awards and coordination with local partners.
