The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) awarded a $219,996 project grant to the Center for Cultural and Technical Interchange Between East and West, Inc. (East-West Center) under the Promotion of the Humanities Professional Development program (CFDA 45.163). The grant, with a performance period from October 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025, will support the East-West Center's project titled "CONTEMPORARY ASIAS: PLURALITIES BEYOND AREAS". The project will explore recent changes in the production, structuring, and sharing of knowledge about Asian cultures and societies, and how these changes might foster more collaborative, responsive, and pluralistic knowledge communities. As a non-profit education and research organization based in Honolulu, Hawaii, the East-West Center promotes cooperation and understanding between the United States and the Asia-Pacific region through programs in research, education, and dialogue.
