This $3.2 million Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration project grant funds the Lab to Life program at Colorado State University Research Foundation. The program will establish partnerships between Colorado State University and the Colorado State Research Foundation to commercialize research-based clean technologies and sustainability startups. Specifically, the Lab to Life program will support transforming intellectual property into 3 to 5 startup companies annually over two years by leveraging experienced startup executives and executive-in-training interns. The program expects to complete business model validation, customer discovery, and launch initial business development activities within six months of company incorporation for each startup cohort. The funding advances the objectives of the EDA's $11.0 million BUILD TO SCALE grant program by supporting the growth of Colorado's technology-driven startup ecosystem.
